Connect Buffer to Relato so your AI Content Agents can schedule posts across several social channels at once, from inside Relato.
What you can do
Once Buffer is connected, an agent can:
Schedule social posts to the channels you have set up in Buffer.
Adapt one project into copy for several channels in a single run.
Queue posts to your Buffer schedule so they go out at set times.
Connect Buffer
In Relato open Settings > Integrations > MCP > Add account, paste the Buffer MCP URL, approve the OAuth prompt, and name the account. The name you give it prefixes that service's tools in the agent tool picker. Then attach the Buffer tools plus the Relato query and project tools to an agent, and set a trigger: a project stage change, a schedule, or manual. For the full walkthrough see Connect any MCP to Relato.
A good first agent
Create an agent called Buffer scheduler. Attach the Buffer tools plus the Relato query and project tools. Set its instructions to: read the project when it reaches the Ready stage, write a short version for your LinkedIn channel and a shorter version for your X channel, and add both to the Buffer queue. Set the trigger to the stage change so each ready project fans out to your channels.
A note on OAuth
Relato's MCP integration is OAuth based. You can connect Buffer if it runs an OAuth capable MCP server that Relato can reach. If a public OAuth MCP for Buffer does not exist yet, tell us at [email protected] and we will help you find a path.
FAQ
Which channels can the agent post to? The channels you have already connected inside Buffer. Relato reaches Buffer, and Buffer reaches your channels.
Does it post now or queue for later? That depends on the tools the Buffer MCP exposes. Most setups add to the queue so posts follow your Buffer schedule.
